Intellectual evaluations are paramount in understanding an individuals cognitive functioning.  As such, the results from IQ testing are used to make determinations regarding an individual’s ability to engage cognitive processes and are often required for placement in certain academic programs.  By engaging in IQ testing information pertaining to an individual’s ability to solve problems, understand and process information, and navigate complex issues can help to identify and individual’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses in these areas.  Intellectual evaluations also assist in placement in academic programs and to provide support to individuals who may struggle with their cognitive abilities.
